The workflow for UDS staff often includes using the Purdue Electronic Directory to lookup contact information about a user. This workflow would be helped by integrating webqueue2 with these sources to automatically populate this information.

Possible sources include:

• Purdue Electronic Directory
• ecndb-userinfo [alias] bash command
• ph [alias] return all bash command

ph is the command line interface to PED.

ecndb-userinfo doesn't seem to take any options, but all of the data is available using other ecndb commands. You can run the individual commands and not have to do so much parsing. For example:

U=\\pier.ecn.purdue.edu\benf

The various scripts available are in /var/ecndb/bin, and you can get a list of fields for each command using the --help flag.
