Module 2 - The Swiftest Python Package

Welcome back to the Swiftest Short Course! In Module 1, you learned how to download, install, and compile Swiftest on a Linux machine. In Module 2, you will learn how to install the Swiftest Python package on a Linux machine. This package is allows for the seamless and efficient creation of input files and analysis output files. By the end of this module, you will have a functioning version of the Swiftest Python package loaded into a Conda environment and a Jupyter Notebook kernel.

By the end of Module 2, you will know how to:

  • Verify that your local machine meets the requirements needed to successfully install the Swiftest Python package
  • Add the Swiftest Python package to a new or existing Conda environment
  • Add the Swiftest Python package to a new Jupyter Notebook kernel
