Should start by adding a field to the Fract table that is the zonal area times the fractional contributing area. Then merge the columns of interest into a single table before outputing. GRIDCODE (VIC grid cell number) is then the value used to relate between this table and the VIC model soil file that would have the non-gridded simulation areas defined.
